Smile, jump and shout for nature.
The yearly Conservation Competitions are a time to thank community members for all they have done over the course of the year, and the venue for people to teach their friends and neighbors how to improve their own lives while helping wildlife. Now in their 15th year, the competitions have become woven into the community calendar, the beginning of the holiday season, when celebration and rejoicing together feels right. Participants at this year’s five competitions came from 35 different villages.

Honoring a conservation leader.
NNF’s 2024 Conservation Leadership Award was presented to Samuel Murungi. He desicates himself to supporting the projects that promote sustainable and effective conservation outcomes. Sam uses every opportunity to lead by example to help build the capacity of others, while helping at-risk wildlife populations and influincing local conservation strategies.

I want to thank NNF’s long term staff who continue to work with the project up to date. Flashing back to when we had just started, we have indeed changed. Let’s keep the train moving until we reach the destination. We are still strong, we are still able and combined together as a team, pulling one another as a chain.
